CNC PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR - KZNFull job descriptionAs a CNC Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting-up, operating and maintaining Press Brake machines to produce accurate bends on various steel materials.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Machine Set-Up:Read and interpret engineering drawings, and job cards to understand bending requirements.Set up and calibrate bending machines based on job specifications.Ensure proper alignment and positioning of tooling for the machine.Machine Operation:Operate bending machines to bend metal according to defined angles, dimensions, and tolerances.Monitor machine operations to detect any deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments.Ensure the quality of finished products by conducting regular inspections.Machine Handling:Load and unload materials into/from the bending machine.Arrange materials in accordance with the job order.Quality ControlInspect finished products and make adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications.Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on bending machines to ensure proper functioning.Troubleshoot and address minor issues with the machine to minimize downtime.Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Documentation:Record production data, defect details, machine maintenance details and any adjustments made during the manufacturing process and report any issues or deviations from specifications to the foreman.REQUIREMENT & EXPERIENCEEducation & Experience:High school matric imperative.Technical training or 2 years machine operation experience is a must-have.Familiarity with various types of bending machines.Experience using CNC technology preferred.Skills:Willing to work 6am xe2x80x93 6pm shift rotations.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Must have computer skills.Strong attention to detail and precision.Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.We are looking for someone who can work independently and be a team-player.
