Our client in the Textiles industry is currently looking for a CMT Coordinator, in Cape Town.
Responsibilities:
Participate with the factory manager and production planner to finalise and agree on the monthly CMT production plan.
Coordinate with external CMTxe2x80x99s on the placement of work, delivery dates and costings to be able to implement the monthxe2x80x99s production plan.
Provide daily feedback to the production planner on the progress made.
Ensure each order is placed with the appropriate CMT as per the CMT production plan.
Complete and sign all the CMT documents as per the companyxe2x80x99s CMT policy and procedure for each order placed with a CMT.
Submit all signed CMT agreements to finance for processing and filing.
Monitor the production progress for each CMT against order delivery dates and report any issues or concerns to the factory manager.
Ensure that the companyxe2x80x99s CMT payment procedure is followed and applied correctly with the submission of CMT invoices.
Ensure all work prepared for CMT orders are full and complete (follow CMT order checklist for fabric, trims, etc.) before delivery to CMTxe2x80x99s and report any discrepancies found.
Sign off on full orders and collect CMT agreements on receipt of work to monitor and track quantities. Report any discrepancies/ shortages immediately.
Requirements:
National Diploma in Clothing Production Management or equivalent knowledge and experience Sound garment construction knowledge and practical experience, including fabric and trims.
5 to 10 yearsxe2x80x99 proven working experience in a clothing factory as an examiner/ supervisor in quality.
3 to 5 yearsxe2x80x99 proven working experience on middle management level.
Understanding of pattern making and grading.
Experience in examining and auditing procedures and techniques.
Previous experience in or knowledge of cutting and branding procedures Good numerical ability to compile and interpret statistical data and reports Good communication, conflict resolution and presentation skills.
