Role Purpose



The Cloud Engineer is responsible for deploying, configuring, and supporting cloud solutions for customers subscribing to our cloud services. This role requires a customer-focused, proactive, and technically skilled professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-driven approach.

Working closely with Cloud Solution Architects, who design the solutions, the Cloud Engineer must have a solid understanding of the deployed technologies and be capable of implementing them effectively within a project team. The role operates under the guidance of the Head of Cloud services and Cloud Projects Manager to ensure seamless execution.

The Cloud Engineer will be actively involved throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, from initial scoping and assessments to solution implementation, delivery, and--if required--ongoing support and maintenance of the customer environment.

The Cloud Engineer will be evaluated based on their ability to:



Solution Deployment & Implementation - Efficiently deploy, configure, and integrate cloud solutions as per design specifications, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry best practices.



Technical Expertise - Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud technologies, infrastructure, and services, ensuring seamless implementation and troubleshooting of deployed solutions.



Customer Engagement & Support - Provide exceptional technical support with a customer-centric approach, addressing queries and issues with professionalism, clarity, and efficiency.



Collaboration & Teamwork - Work effectively within a project team, coordinating with Cloud Solution Architects, the Service Delivery Manager, and the Cloud Projects Manager to ensure successful project execution.



Process Adherence & Documentation - Follow established deployment methodologies, maintain detailed documentation of implementations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.



End-to-End Involvement - Actively participate throughout the customer engagement lifecycle, from initial scoping and assessments to project delivery and, when required, ongoing support and maintenance.



Quality & Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in configuration, security compliance, and performance optimisation, minimising risks and service disruptions.

Qualifications

Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent

Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent

Microsoft Teams Admin Associate - Essential

Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate

Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate

AWS Cloud Practitioner - Desirable

Degree in IT or Engineering related field and Post-Graduate - Desirable

Industry certification e.g. Cisco (CCNP, CCDP, and above), Microsoft (Cloud), CECP(MEF) or similar. - Preferred Experience Supporting Cloud-based infrastructure (SaaS, IaasS, PaaS, UCaaS)

Proven experience with Microsoft and/or AWS cloud services, Microsoft Windows and Office 365

Demonstrate the ability to solve complex, multi-system problems

Extensive track record of service delivery for customers

Great communications skills

In-depth knowledge of various IT and/or telecoms technology architecture domains and convergence.
