Close Protection Officer 3-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Monthly Salary: R40,000 (Forty Thousand Rand)
Are you a highly skilled security professional looking for a short-term protection role? Our Client in Higher Education is seeking a Close Protection Officer to join their dynamic protection services team, ensuring the safety and security of high-profile individuals over a 3-month contract period.
About the Role
This position involves close protection services, conducting security threat assessments, and implementing protective strategies both on and off-site. The role requires expertise in access control, tactical surveillance, and defensive driving to mitigate risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

• Access Control: Enforce security protocols for high-risk areas, monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Close Protection: Escort and secure individuals, conduct risk assessments, and execute safe transit operations.
• Surveillance & Countermeasures: Analyze threats, plan optimal routes, and apply defensive driving techniques.
• Emergency Response: Manage crises, including fire hazards, bomb threats, and evacuation procedures.
• Physical Fitness: Maintain stamina through regular training, unarmed combat, and high-intensity drills.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric qualification
• 3-year Diploma in Personal Protection or 5+ years of relevant experience
• Security training (PSIRA Grade A) and accreditation
• Valid Drivers License with advanced defensive driving skills
• Firearm competency

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• SASSETA Unit Standards (US 244317, 244319, 244327, etc.)
• Martial arts & unarmed combat training
• First aid & basic explosives handling
• Surveillance & counter-surveillance techniques
• Start Date: ASAP
