Clinical Research Intern
Job Description
The Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) is seeking a Clinical Research Intern to join the Kloverpris Lab based at AHRI Durban campus. The desired intern for this position will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and execution of functions related to the implementation and monitoring of HIV and skin research projects in collaboration with the Department of Dermatology at UKZN. Under direct supervision he/she performs clerical support for the clinical core following standard procedures with all work certified or checked.
Overview of Duties
The clinical research intern will serve as a direct liaison and coordinator between the Dermatology department at King Edward Hospital and the AHRI-Durban Kloverpris lab. The intern will facilitate the participant specimens in a new HIV-Skin study that seeks to better understand the underlying mechanisms of HIV associated skin disorders in the KwaZulu-Natal.
Minimum Qualifications * Master of Medicine in Dermatology.
