The Role
As a Client Manager, you'll own relationships with our clients from initial engagement through to placement, retention, and ongoing account growth. You'll manage recruitment campaigns, coordinate delivery, and play an active role in
retaining clients, upselling additional hires, and supporting new business opportunities
.
This is a
hybrid client management + commercial role
. You're not expected to be a hard salesperson, but you should be comfortable having commercial conversations, spotting opportunities, and helping grow accounts.
We are specifically looking for candidates with
proven account or client management experience
, at two possible levels:
Client Manager (Mid-Level):
Minimum
3+ years
experience in account management, client management, or a similar client-facing role.
Senior Client Manager:
5-10 years
experience managing client accounts, campaigns, and long-term relationships, ideally within recruitment, staffing, or professional services.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationships & Account Management
Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients.
Build strong, trusted client relationships through consistent communication and delivery.
Manage expectations around timelines, candidate quality, and recruitment process.
Recruitment Campaign Management
Run job brief calls and translate client needs into clear recruitment campaigns.
Manage roles end-to-end: briefs, shortlists, interviews, feedback, and offers.
Coordinate closely with recruiters to ensure efficient campaign delivery.
Sales, Retention & Upsell
Retain clients through a high-quality service and proactive communication.
Identify opportunities for upsell, repeat hires, and account growth.
Support new business through warm leads, referrals, and existing client relationships.
Contribute directly to revenue growth through effective account management.
Process, Reporting & Delivery
Track campaigns, pipelines, and client activity accurately in internal systems.
Flag risks early and proactively resolve issues.
Suggest improvements to processes and client experience.
Candidate Experience
Ensure candidates have a professional, well-managed experience.
Communicate clearly and respectfully throughout the process.
Onboarding & Aftercare
Support successful placements through offer, onboarding, and post-placement check-ins.
Focus on long-term retention for both clients and candidates.
Flex Role
Step in to support the wider team as needed as the business continues to scale.
? About You
Experience
Minimum 3 years
experience in account management, client management, or a similar client-facing role.
Senior candidates:
5-10 years
experience managing client accounts and complex campaigns.
At least 1 year
experience in
human resources, recruitment, staffing, talent acquisition, or a closely related role
.
Recruitment agency or professional services experience is a strong advantage.
Location
Based in South Africa (
Cape Town preferred
for occasional team meet-ups).

What We Offer
Salary: R20,000 - R35,000/month
, depending on experience and seniority, plus performance-based bonuses.
