Job Description
RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced CLAIMS DEPARTMENTAL MANAGER (MOTOR) for a large national concern, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
English / Afrikaans speaking person (person must be able to read / write / speak in both English and Afrikaans).
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced MS Excel skills. Working experience on MS Teams.
Bachelor's Degree in Business (or relevant field) is essential.
Short-term insurance qualification an added advantage.
RE5 (advantageous).
Previous management and business experience.
Working knowledge and understanding of statutory and legislative requirements, Short-term Insurance Act/FAIS/Fit and Proper, etc.
Claims experience.
Good understanding of short-term insurance procedures.
Understanding of claims process management.
Technical knowledge of product wording and contracts.
Manage the claims portfolio: property and casualty.
Oversee the short-term property and liability pillars, procurement, assist with wording and rating of property and casualty risks.
Contribute towards the management of the claims department.
