Job Description

You'll manage claims end-to-end, keeping clients informed and supported every step of the way. Acting as the link between clients, account executives and insurers, you'll ensure smooth, accurate administration, compliance with standards, and a positive claims experience.

Purpose of the Role
This role exists to support our business strategy by delivering efficient, accurate and professional claims administration. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, account executives, and insurers, ensuring every claim is managed with care, consistency, and compliance.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Financial Stewardship

  • You will actively contribute to keeping claims costs and general expenses under control by applying sound judgement, policy knowledge, and efficient administration throughout the claims lifecycle.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • You'll maintain clear, timely and professional communication with all stakeholders. Building strong, respectful relationships with clients and account executives is essential, as is ensuring clients remain informed on every step of their claim. Your contribution will help the team meet client satisfaction targets.
Claims Administration & Process Management
  • You'll manage the end-to-end claims process in line with company standards and regulatory requirements. This includes receiving notifications, collecting documentation, applying policy terms and conditions, and keeping systems and internal stakeholders updated.
  • Where applicable, you will appoint assessors, obtain service provider quotes, arrange approvals and payments, and facilitate all communication between insurer and client.
  • You'll assess claims within your mandate and escalate those that exceed it.
  • Recoveries, follow-ups, and fraud or dishonesty concerns will be handled promptly and accurately.
  • Overall, you are responsible for ensuring productivity targets are met, records are well maintained, and that you contribute to improving team processes and performance.

Job Requirements
What You'll Need
Qualifications & Skills
  • Matric or equivalent
  • RE5
  • FAIS-appropriate qualification/credits
  • Strong computer literacy (CIMS advantageous)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience
  • At least 3 years' Personal Lines and Commercial claims experience.
