Shad Holdings is seeking a highly experienced and professionally registered

Structural Engineer

to join our Design and Build team on a critical institutional refurbishment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all structural design and detailing, ensuring the integrity and compliance of the existing and new building elements, particularly within a fast-track refurbishment environment.

Key Requirements:

Lead the structural design, analysis, and detailing for complex building refurbishments and upgrades. Provide sign-off and professional certification for all structural documentation and construction work. Collaborate with the Design Manager, Architect, and other specialist engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) to ensure a fully integrated design solution. Conduct site inspections, resolve construction queries, and ensure adherence to national building regulations and project specifications.
Qualifications and Experience:

Relevant Engineering Qualification (BEng, BSc, or BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering).

Mandatory Professional Registration

with the Engineering Council of South Africa (

ECSA

) as a

Professional Engineer (Pr Eng)

or

Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng)

. A minimum of

10 years post-professional registration experience

in structural design and construction monitoring, with demonstrable experience on large-scale building refurbishment projects.

Pay: R350,00 - R550,00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
