To manage and implement a suite of large project (or schemes) including programme management, project governance, stakeholder management, land and rights, fiscal contract technical, quality and safety compliance in line with Rand Water's strategic objectives.
Minimum Requirements
BSc/B-Tech degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Registration with the Engineering Council of SA
Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP)
Computer competent in Project Management software (Advanced Level of SAP Project Systems, Enterprise Project Management Tools, MS Project and MS Excel)
5 years Project Management experience with a proven track record in managing high level projects, project management skills (best project management practices) in terms of managing matrix structures, multi-disciplinary projects
Ability to manage technical people and understand engineering concepts, systems and processes.
Experience related to tenders and contracts; relevant legislation, regulations, policy and procedures; wastewater services infrastructure operations and maintenance.Legislative procedures with respect to consulting and project management.
Technical knowledge of the provision of water and sanitation; financial management.
Water and Sanitation discipline
In possession of a valid driver's licence
Primary Duties
Responsible for managing all aspects (time, costs, quality, objectives/deliverables, minimise negative environment impacts and maximise Preferential Procurement participation and development) of the following types of projects:
+ Multi-projects and multi-disciplinary projects,
+ The proposals by Rand Water Bulk Sanitation to external clients and tendering for external projects, and the execution of external projects, including the project management of tenders/ offers for external clients.
+ Manage the scheduling of resources and assessment of the Divisions ability to effectively execute its responsibilities for both internal and external projects. Directly accountable for Recoverable Budget.
Collating Capex for various sites for approval and undertaking the monthly monitoring
Resource scheduling for various sites to meet the objectives of projects.
Managing project information at various sites.
Ensuring compliance to project objectives to meet customers expectations.
