SENIOR CIVIL / INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGN ENGINEER (PR ENG./ PR Tech Eng.)

Our client has a well-established pipeline of projects in the engineering development, design and project Management in the industrial services sector (Petrochemical and Mining Plants).

The main function will be to design infrastructure and roads whilst participating in civil infrastructure engineering aspects of expansion and operation support projects simultaneously.

The engineer/ technologist will be responsible for liaison with clients, planning, management in respect of infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• BSc/BEng Degree in Civil Engineering or BTech in Civil Engineering or National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Registration with ECSA as Professional Engineer or Technologist.

Minimum requirements

• Minimum 8 years experience in Infrastructure designs
• Consulting engineering experience.
• Current experience in the mining and petrochemical Environment is required.

Design experience:

• Must have experience in the design of infrastructure on water , stormwater and roads infrastructure
• Experience in leading civil design projects, including resource planning and design time frame estimates.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Functioning as part of a project team, liaise with other professional team members, other engineering disciplines and contractors
• Civil Engineering infrastructure design on major Mining and petrochemical Projects (Roads, Storm water and sewerage - Roads and gravitational designs of water aspects)
• Planning and management of the engineering aspects of projects in terms of scope, time, costs and quality
• Review, update, and modification of designs.
