Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum B Eng/BSc Eng in Civil Engineering
- Professionally registered
- Minimum 5 years post registration experience in Water & Sanitation Infrastructure Development

Experience in the following key aspects will be advantageous:
- Water and Sanitation Master Planning Experience
- Development and or refurbishment of Bulk Water Supply lines (Transfer Systems), i.e. larger diameter pipeline and pumpstation planning and design.
- New outfall sewer design and or pipe rehabilitation upgrade experience.
- Groundwater Development and Rural Water Supply Water conservation demand management projects.
- Sound understanding of civil engineering construction contracts and management thereof (GCC, FIDIC Red / Yellow Book).

Responsibilities:
- Performing of various duties typically associated in the fulfilment of a project engineer position, managing a design team, during the planning and design of various bulk water supply, and or Rural Water supply schemes, while understanding WC/WDM principles.
- Successful candidate will get exposure to large multi-year infrastructure refurbishment and upgrading projects to the value of above R1 billion rand.

Duties will include:
- Development of technically sound deliverables associated with each stage of the project (Inception, Concept & Viability, Design Development, Documentation and Procurement, Construction Administration and Close Out).
- Managing each project in accordance with the clients Quality Management System
