DBN000236 - CIVIL ENGINEER LEAD - CENTURION
Purpose of the Job:
To direct the technical design, planning, and execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety codes and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 to 10 years' experience and minimum 3years experience after Pr registration.
• Must be Pr registered
• Experienced in roads, earthworks, potable reticulation, sewer reticulation and pump stations.
• Must have managed civil engineering teams in the past
• Must be able to bring in new work
• Experience in the mining, industrial space & commercial -advantageous

Technical Competencies & Experience:

• Bringing on new clients
• Design & Engineering Management: Prepare, review, and approve technical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with local and international codes.
• Project Leadership & Planning: Define project scopes, develop schedules, and oversee cost estimations and budgetary controls.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, mentor, and guide civil engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure quality performance and professional development.
• Technical Coordination & Quality Control: Perform inter-discipline coordination (e.g., with structural, electrical, and mechanical teams), perform squad checks, and ensure quality control during construction.
• Site Inspection & Compliance: Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to plans, and enforce safety regulations.
• Stakeholder & Contractor Management: Coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors, providing technical expertise and managing contract execution.
• Problem Solving & Optimization: Offer value engineering solutions and resolve design or on-site technical issues.
