Civil Engineer - JhbThe design and managing of construction projects (landfill, roads, water and waste treatment projects, waste management facilities, & buildings infrastructure);To develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans;Manage resident engineers, determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards;Completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates; Conduct on-site investigations and analyse data (maps, reports, tests, drawings, etc.)Assess potential risks, materials and costs; Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies;Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders;Monitor progress and compile reports in project status;Manage budget and purchases of equipment/materials;Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc.; andDeliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.QUALIFICATIONSBsc /BEng. Degree in Civil;Engineering Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng / Pr Tech;Registration with SACPMP is an added advantage;At least 7- 10 years relevant experience in the industry;Understanding of the importance and use of document control;Understanding of ISO systems (9000) within a design environment; andKnowledge of Design Standards.KEY SKILLSAbility to think methodically and to manage projects;Problem-solving skills Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets;Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Negotiating, supervisory and leadership skills;Complete knowledge of relevant legislation; andSound mathematical, scientific and IT skills.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: R25,000.00 - R30,000.00 per monthEducation:Bachelors (Required)Experience:Civil Engineering: 3 years (Required)Application Deadline: 2023/09/20
