Job Description

RPO Recruitment is seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in Dams for their client in Pretoria.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing dam structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Conducting site visits and inspections to assess the condition and safety of dams
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate dam structures into overall project plans
• Performing hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to evaluate dam performance
• Conducting risk assessments and proposing measures to enhance the safety and efficiency of dams
• Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful completion
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Pr.Eng license a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in dam engineering, with a focus on design and development
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to dam safety
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, and HEC-RAS
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment
