The Role: Civil Construction Production Manager / General Foreman
This role is responsible for overseeing daily site operations, supervising and coordinating construction teams, and ensuring project work is executed safely, on time, and to specifications. The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership, manage resources effectively, and play a key role in developing and mentoring junior foremen.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise daily site operations across civil projects.
Coordinate construction teams to deliver on project timelines and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Oversee and implement construction methods, including SANS 1200 standards.
Monitor progress, address challenges, and report to project managers.
Train, mentor, and guide junior foremen and site staff.
Manage equipment, materials, and subcontractors on site.
About You
Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Foreman or Production Manager in civil construction.
Proven expertise across pipelines, earthworks, roads, and concrete works.
Solid knowledge of construction methodologies and SANS 1200.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to problem-solve and make effective decisions under pressure.
Track record of mentoring and developing junior team members.
Grade 12 / NQF4 qualification required; relevant tertiary qualification advantageous.
Valid Code EB (or higher) driver''s license.
