A Mining house based in the North West region is looking for an experienced Chief Safety Officer
Duties:

Ensuring compliance to the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996 and other relevant legislation
Monitor and measure compliance to Safety Management Plan
Promoting safety and health awareness
Participate in High Potential and Significant incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are appropriate and implemented
o Evaluating operational risks
o Carrying out inspections and reporting on all matters concerning mine health and safety

Qualifications/Requirements:

ND / BTech Safety Management
COMSOC 1&2
Blasting Certificate
8yrs deep level mining experience, of which at least 5yrs in the safety department as a Safety Officer
