Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:
Manage the operations of the electrical workshop.
Inspect the quality of workmanship of all completed work orders.
Ensure work orders are completed timeously.
Manage the workshop budget.
Manage preventative maintenance contracts on all campuses, including:
- Fire detection.
- Solar plant maintenance.
Ensure compliance with SANS 10142 regulations.
Respond to after-hours call outs.
Compile quotation documentation, evaluation thereof and implementation.
Adhere to UFS Procurement policy.
Provide input to the refurbishment plan of Electrical equipment.
Switch 11kV network.

Inherent requirements:

N3 (Electrical) or equivalent Electrical Engineering qualification.
Qualified Installation electrician (3 phase)
A minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities.
Valid drivers license.

Recommendations:
Valid ORHVS certificate
Specific experience related to the maintenance of electrical infrastructure.
