Chief Financial Officer

A prestigious multinational organization is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its finance function across the Africa region.
This is a high-impact role, reporting directly to the Regional CEO, and forms part of the executive leadership team.The Role As CFO, you will oversee all financial aspects of multiple entities across Africa, acting as a strategic business partner to the leadership team. You will provide critical insight and governance, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks, and contribute meaningfully to the groupxe2x80x99s growth and performance objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor a high-performing regional finance team
• Partner with CEOs and senior leadership to drive commercial growth
• Contribute to the development and execution of financial and operational strategies
• Deliver insights to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Ensure alignment with Group CFO and corporate objectives

Financial Reporting & Planning

• Own all internal and external reporting processes, including divisional KPI reporting
• Manage the regional FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning functions
• Present financial performance to stakeholders including the CEO, Group CFO, investors, and the Board

Governance & Compliance

• Serve as Company Director and Board Member
• Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across the region
• Lead employment equity, social and ethics, BEE, provident fund representation, CIPC filings, and tax compliance
• Engage external auditors and oversee the preparation of Annual Financial Statements
• Maintain strong internal controls and risk management

Operational Finance

• Oversee cash management, CAPEX, and treasury functions across African operations
• Drive financial system upgrades, including ERP implementation
• Safeguard financial operations against fraud and inefficiency
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and commercial acumen

Key Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (CA or equivalent), or qualified by extensive experience
• Proven experience in a CFO or senior finance leadership role, preferably in a PE-backed environment
• Strong knowledge of local African financial legislation and compliance standards
• Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement, including investors and external partners
• Commercially astute with a history of driving strategic value and business transformation
• A proactive, hands-on leader with a collaborative and results-driven approach
