Job Summary
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Restaurant Group | Western Cape
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a distinguished group of restaurants based in the Western Cape. This is a senior leadership role requiring a strategic thinker with a strong financial background and proven experience within the hospitality and retail sectors, including hotels and restaurants.
Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or similar field (CIMA, CA(SA), or equivalent preferred)
Minimum of 5-10 years of financial management experience
Essential: Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, or related industries
Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities
Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools
Excellent understanding of business financials, taxation, and labour regulations
High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
Proven ability to manage teams and build financial systems from the ground up
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all financial aspects of the business
Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial strategies and business plans
Manage and oversee cash flow planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
Compile and present management accounts to stakeholders
Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT, UIF, and statutory requirements
Manage full payroll process in compliance with labour laws
Oversee creditors, debtors, and all invoicing processes
Implement and monitor strong internal controls
Drive financial efficiency and identify cost-saving opportunities
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and operational decisions
