Job Description

Duties:

• Reporting to the board, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for: Provision of strategic and operational leadership to the company ensuring effective business management through development and implementation of strategies, policies, processes, procedures and systems to achieve the company's objectives.
• The CEO's leadership is required in the company's various economic development projects, including those aimed at increasing regional economic collaboration, improving export performance and attract direct domestic and foreign investment to Limpopo Province.
• CEO's key performance indicators include fulfilling the role of an effective Accounting Officer by providing effective leadership, efficient management and administration for the company to achieve its mandate and strategic goals.
• Forging and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
• Providing executive support to the company Board and its committees.
• Ensuring the company is a well-capacitated and ethical organisation with a fair and progressive corporate culture.
• Lead and manage the company team within parameters established within the company strategy and the Board.
• Monitor and report regularly to the Board on the overall progress and results against strategic and operational objectives and initiate courses of action for improvement where required.
• Establishing effective control and coordination mechanisms for all operations and activities and take reasonable steps to ensure the integrity of the internal control and management information systems.
• Supporting the development of strategic sectors of the economy in line with provincial economic and industrial policies.
• Providing leadership in economic development projects, increase regional economic collaboration, improve export performance and attract direct domestic and foreign investment into Limpopo Province.
• The candidate should have proven proficiency in project financing, and capital improvement planning.
