Chief Business Officer (Contract) South AfricaA leading non-profit social enterprise is seeking a dynamic Chief Business Officer to spearhead the development and integration of high-impact initiatives in the fertilizer and agricultural input sectors across sub-Saharan Africa.This executive role will focus on commercializing opportunities built through years of work in agribusiness development, leveraging financial instruments, market intelligence, policy influence, and strategic partnerships to scale sustainable solutions that connect smallholder farmers and agro-dealers with global markets.Location: South AfricaContract: 12-month fixed-term (Renewable) with benefits.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic vision and execution of agribusiness services across Trade Credit Guarantees, Market Development, Market Intelligence, and Policy Services.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with private sector stakeholders, financial institutions, development agencies, and regulatory bodies.
• Drive product and service innovation grounded in real-time market data and evolving sector needs.
• Identify and execute on growth opportunities within the fertilizer value chain to enhance food systems, productivity, and agribusiness viability.

Ideal Profile:

• Masterxe2x80x99s degree or higher in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in market-driven agribusiness development, preferably in Africa or emerging markets.
• Proven track record in executive leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercialization of agricultural or impact-focused programs.
• Deep understanding of financial instruments for agribusiness and policy environments affecting agricultural markets.
