Chemical Analyst
Job Description
To perform analysis following standard methods of analysis of either raw materials, components, in-process products, final products or water, to ensure quality and compliance to the MBR1.To perform analysis following standard methods for analysis.
Prepare and analyse samples following official methods of analysis.
? Operate, according to the operating procedures, various equipment such as HPLC, AA, UV/Vis Spec, FTIR, pH meter, Flame photometer, polarimeter and all laboratory equipment.
? Maintain logbooks of all equipment used on a daily basis. ? Perform calibration checks on designated equipment following the calibration procedure.
? Accurately record all analysis results in the appropriate analysis reference book and report results in the appropriate format for approval by Senior Analyst, Supervisor and Laboratory Manager.
? Perform routine analysis on in-process and final products, raw materials, components and water.
? Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
? From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.
