Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef/Cook to assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes for our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
2. Kitchen Operations: Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
3. Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensure that all food is prepared, stored, and presented in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
4. Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
5. Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
6. Inventory Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
Requirements:
1. Relevant Qualification: Diploma or certificate in culinary arts or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
3. Skills: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
4. Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Language: Fluent in Afrikaans and/or English.
