Rijks Wine Estate and Hotel, situated in the Tulbagh Valley, offers an exciting opportunity for a Chef at their restaurant offering authentic Cape Cuisine. The ideal candidate is an organised, self-motivated, and creative individual who can manage the kitchen team and deliver exciting food experiences for visitors. Duties and responsibilities include the following: *preparing and presenting food of high quality *recipe and menu development *training and management of kitchen and restaurant staff *daily stock control *food cost and budgeting *daily planning and placing of food orders *adherence to kitchen health and safety procedures *any other duties related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills, and experience: A relevant tertiary qualification and/or accredited practical training; At least 3 years experience in a similar position; Experience in fine dining will be highly advantageous; Excellent timekeeping and reliability; Drivers license and own reliable transport.
