What We're Looking For
Formal
Chef qualification
(essential)
Minimum
2 years' experience
running a kitchen
Strong
breakfast service experience
in a fast-paced environment
Proven
bakery skills
including artisan breads, pastries, and baked goods
Experience with
grill and lunch service
A creative, trend-aware chef who enjoys
menu development
Natural leader with the ability to build and motivate a kitchen team
Passion for quality, consistency, and presentation
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for
kitchen operations
Preparation and execution of breakfast, lunch, bakery, and specials menus
Menu development
aligned with the Maria's Coffee brand and current food trends
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage kitchen staff
Handle kitchen HR matters and performance management
Weekly and monthly
stock takes
Ordering, cost control, and supplier/vendor sourcing
Maintain food cost targets and minimize wastage
Ensure compliance with
food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
Work closely with management to support brand growth and innovation
