The Perdeberg Group, situated in the Paarl wine region, has an opportunity available for an experienced Chef to join their restaurant kitchen team.

The successful candidate is a culinary expert with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences, and will play a crucial role in menu development, kitchen management, staff training, and maintaining a collaborative kitchen environment.

KPA's will include: *Growth and customer satisfaction: understanding culinary techniques, industry trends, seasonal produce, and identifying growth opportunities. *Menu Development: creating and updating innovative and appealing menus, sourcing quality ingredients and establishing relationships with local suppliers, negotiating with suppliers, creating standard recipe cards. *Kitchen Management: managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. *People Management (kitchen staff): conducting training sessions on culinary skills and best practice, conducting performance appraisals. *Budget Management: collaborating with the General Manager: Hospitality in developing & managing kitchen budgets, conducting cost analyses, implementing inventory control measures. *Quality Control: conducting inspections & implementing SOPxe2x80x99s to uphold quality standards. *All ad hoc functions related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
A culinary tertiary qualification and/or accredited practical training;
Minimum 4 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a kitchen servicing 240-300 pax, including
2 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Head Chef;
Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);
Good computer literacy (MS Office);
Valid driverxe2x80x99s license and own reliable transport.
