Salary: R12,500 - R15,000 (Negotiable DOE)
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join the team at a high-end private wildlife reserve located in the Kalahari. This is a unique opportunity for a culinary professional looking to be part of a dynamic kitchen team in a luxury bush setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Train, mentor, and support the kitchen team to ensure growth and consistency
Streamline kitchen operations including food prep, stock control, hygiene, and timely service
Maintain and exceed food hygiene, cleaning, and safety standards in accordance with legislation
Oversee kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food quality and presentation standards
Implement effective kitchen administration, minimizing wastage and ensuring accurate stock control
Take responsibility for any stock shortages, wastage, and variances
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of Chef de Partie experience in a 5-star environment
Proven ability to perform in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Capable of producing food items and menus with exceptional presentation and attention to detail
Solid understanding of food trends, dietary restrictions, and religious requirements
Knowledge of standard operating procedures and implementation
Competent in stock planning, budget control, and kitchen administration
Valid driver's license is essential
