Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, situated in the scenic Paarl area, is searching for a hardworking, self-motivated, and energetic Chef De Partie to join their talented kitchen team.

The ideal candidate is creative and passionate about uncomplicated real food, believes in farm-to-table, and supporting local suppliers.

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Chef and be responsible for: *developing menus and recipes in collaboration with the Executive Chef *ensuring adequacy of mise-en-place *providing input on new ways of presentation of dishes *optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality *enforcing strict health and hygiene standards *ensuring smooth running of food production *keeping up to date with latest restaurant & industry trends, and identify new culinary techniques and presentations *reporting any maintenance needs to relevant staff *all other tasks related to the role.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
Culinary tertiary qualification and/or accredited practical training;
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a professional kitchen;
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures;
Excellent communication skills (English & Afrikaans);
Own reliable transport.
