We are looking for strong and motivated

Chef de Parties (CDPs)

to join our upmarket restaurant team in Cape Town City Centre. You will be expected to work across

all kitchen sections

-- Hot, Cold, Pastry, and Prep -- as required by operations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities



Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and leadership qualities to help manage whichever section you are assigned to. Work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and confidently run a busy service. Carry out daily food preparation and duties assigned by supervisors, maintaining the restaurant's quality and standards. Follow instructions and recommendations from senior chefs to complete daily tasks. Coordinate daily tasks and communicate effectively with the Senior Chef and other team members. Accurately estimate daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met. Ensure the production, preparation, and presentation of food are always of the highest quality. Maintain the highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, and cost efficiency. Adhere to all standard procedures and policies regarding food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation. Maintain full knowledge of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, and presentation standards. Handle and preserve all food products at the correct temperatures and conditions. Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment, reporting any malfunctions immediately. Maintain effective communication between staff and contribute to a secure and positive working environment. Uphold personal hygiene, safety, and correct use of equipment and utensils at all times. Produce work according to deadlines and support and encourage colleagues to do the same. Monitor expiry dates and proper storage of food items in your section. Consult daily with the Senior Chef regarding requirements, functions, and last-minute events. Guide and train junior staff daily to ensure high motivation and an economical working environment. Set an example of personal hygiene and cleanliness on and off duty. Collect daily feedback and report any issues as they arise. Maintain strict quality control and adhere to the restaurant's service standards. Perform any other duties as required by management.

Requirements



At least

2-3 years of experience

in a similar role. Must be able to

reliably commute or relocate to Cape Town

before starting work. Proficiency in

English

is required.

Availability for day shifts, night shifts, and double shifts

is required.
