Job Description

Hire Resolve is in search of a highly skilled and experienced Chargehand to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our client's mining team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and efficiency within the mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervision & Leadership: Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of mining personnel, including operators, technicians, and laborers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Workflow Coordination: Organize and allocate tasks effectively, ensuring smooth operations and optimal utilization of resources to achieve production targets.
• Training & Development: Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and adherence to best practices.
• Safety Oversight: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, conduct safety briefings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Equipment Maintenance: Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs of mining equipment and machinery to ensure their reliability and longevity.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily operations, production output, equipment performance, incidents, and any necessary reports for management review.
• Problem Resolution: Address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, supervisors, and management to coordinate activities, resolve conflicts, and optimize overall mining operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification or training in mining operations or leadership is advantageous.
• 5 years of experience in a mining environment, with a demonstrated track record of leadership and supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate, coach, and lead a diverse team effectively.
• Understanding of mining operations, equipment, and safety protocols. Familiarity with relevant machinery and tools used in mining.
• Deep commitment to safety standards and procedures, with a proactive approach to ensuring a safe working environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational issues and optimize workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, management, and other stakeholders effectively.
