Key performance outputs
The successful candidate reporting to the Manager Maintenance, will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise / co-ordinate team activities
- Ensure contractors work in a safe manner.
- Monitor service providers' daily activities according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and report deviances
- Ensure compliance to relevant statutory and legislative regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), operational standards, policies, and practices.
- Mitigate risk to limit injuries.
- Manage operational risks related to relevant area.
- Conduct regular inspections of the environment and implement remedial action.
- Respond to occurrences, incidents, and accidents in a timely manner.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Carry out maintenance activities according to maintenance plan as well as ad-hoc activities.
- Report on safety / risk / operational deviances.
- Inspect and monitor infrastructure according to maintenance schedules.
- Implement remedial actions where required.
The challenges posed by this position require the successful candidate to have the following:
- The successful candidate must have a valid Matric (Grade 12) qualification
- A minimum of 3 years' operational experience in Maintenance is essential.
- 1 year Supervisory experience is essential.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Code B Driver's license would be advantageous.
