This role is ideal for passionate and motivated chefs with solid experience in any section -- including
Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Pastry, or Grill

Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to effectively manage your assigned kitchen section.
Work efficiently under pressure and ensure smooth, consistent service at all times.
Handle daily food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs, maintaining the highest quality and consistency.
Follow the instructions and recommendations from senior chefs to complete daily operational tasks.
Coordinate daily activities with the Senior Chef and communicate clearly with other kitchen team members.
Accurately estimate daily production needs and ensure all ingredients and prepared dishes meet quality standards.
Maintain excellent standards of food production, preparation, and presentation.
Strive for maximum guest satisfaction while maintaining food quality, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
Follow all standard procedures for food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation.
Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, recipes, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items, maintaining correct temperatures and freshness.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment responsibly, reporting any faults or malfunctions promptly.
Foster a positive, professional, and safe working environment through effective communication and teamwork.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in your section.
Work efficiently to meet deadlines and assist others in achieving team goals.
Conduct regular checks on product quality, stock rotation, and expiry dates.
Communicate daily with senior chefs about menu planning, special functions, and service requirements.
Guide, support, and train junior team members to promote growth, motivation, and high performance.
Lead by example in personal hygiene and professional conduct, both on and off duty.
Provide daily feedback and report any issues to senior management promptly.
Uphold quality control measures and adhere to restaurant service standards.
Perform any additional duties as required by management.
Requirements:
Minimum
2-3 years' experience
as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
Strong organizational, technical, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Fluency in English
required.
Must be able to work
day, night, and double shifts
when required.
Must be able to
commute or relocate to Cape Town
before starting work.
