plays a key role in conducting routine condition monitoring of mechanical and rotating equipment. The main purpose of this role is to detect early signs of equipment degradation and potential failures through various condition monitoring techniques. This position directly supports the Reliability Engineer in implementing predictive maintenance programs and ensuring reliable and optimal equipment performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform regular condition-based monitoring tasks, including but not limited to vibration analysis, and ultrasonic testing.
Collect and analyze data on mechanical and rotating equipment conditions and performance.
Report anomalies and developing trends to the Reliability Engineer, with clear recommendations for follow-up actions.
Maintain and calibrate condition monitoring instruments and software.
Support root cause analysis (RCA) by supplying relevant condition data and findings.
Assist in executing predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
Maintain accurate records of CBM data and reports to ensure historical trend analysis.
Participate in reliability improvement projects and shutdown inspections.
Comply with plant safety, health, and environmental policies.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to plan. interventions/shutdowns based on monitoring results.
Train artisans on predictive measurements techniques and analyses.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
National Diploma in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
At least 5 years of experience in condition-based monitoring or predictive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Vibration Analysis ISO Category/level 3 by an ISO 18436-1 accredited
Familiarity with CBM tools, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
Understanding of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, etc.) and other mechanical systems.
Analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently or in teams.
Ability to work safely in hazardous or explosive areas and comply with strict plant safety protocols.
Good communication skills to report findings effectively and support cross-functional collaboration.
