Catering Supervisor (JB3807)
Nelspruit, Mpumalanga
R6500 per month
Start Date: January 2024

Requirements:
Grade 10
Two years worked in a similar environment.
Experience gained in some functions of this position.

Responsibilities
Plan, organize and direct the preparation and cooking of food.
Supervise the kitchen staff and assist the Catering Manager in running the catering establishment.
Ensure a harmonious working environment and good teamwork amongst the staff in the catering establishment.
Operate to Company standards and procedures in accordance with the client's specific requirements
Cost the daily menus in liaison with the Catering Manager.
Purchase or requisition supplies and ensure that these are properly issued, used accounted for.
Carry out weekly stock-take and ensure food rotation procedures.
Ensure the proper security and authority as regards the access to storerooms.
Allocate duties to kitchen staff and to supervise them in their work.
When the need may arise, personally prepare dishes.
Inspect dishes for quality and attractiveness before serving.
Ensure compliance with Statutory and Company regulations concerning the hygiene and safety of staff, food, and equipment.
Maintain records relating to food production activities and supply information as required by the Catering Manager.
Other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities will include: to assist and deputise for Catering Manager
To do preparations and participate in special functions, which may be outside normal working hours.
To do preparations and participate in xe2x80x9cspecial daysxe2x80x9d and prepare special dishes at the client's request.
