Job Description

Tsebo Site Services is looking for a deadline driven Catering Manager to run with the day-to-day catering operations in Gamsberg. Overall responsibility is to manage the unit through setting and maintaining service delivery standards. Lead, motivate and train staff. Implement and maintain operational controls in line with budgetary requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day catering operations and ensure service delivery standards are met.
  • Take full responsibility for the unit, including staff leadership, quality, service and operational control.
  • Lead, motivate, train and develop the catering team.
  • Maintain HACCP, ISO and all Tsebo and client operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure high food quality, presentation and service aligned to grading requirements.
  • Manage food costing, budgets, waste control and consumption targets.
  • Handle all daily HR and IR matters including scheduling, performance and training.
  • Anticipate client needs, resolve concerns quickly and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate and manage all functions, events and special catering requirements.
  • Manage administration, finances, stock control, debtors, and budgets.
  • Process paperwork accurately and interpret weekly and monthly P&L reports.
  • Stay updated on food trends and maintain excellent culinary standards.
  • Ensure equipment and facilities are clean, safe and properly maintained.
  • Work long hours or weekends when required in a demanding environment.
  • Must be willing to relocate to and live on a remote site.

Qualifications
  • Matric
  • National Diploma in Hospitality Management or any relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
