Job Summary As corporate caterers, we strive to recruit the cream of the crop, thus Sankofa Management is looking for a Catering Manager who will be responsible for leading, supervising and monitoring a catering environment. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for all food related activities such as managing of daily operations of the kitchen area, implementation of the production process, managing food and expenses. Duties & Responsibilities xe2x80xa2 Take full responsibility and management of the unit xe2x80xa2 Need to be able to work under pressure in a demanding environment xe2x80xa2 Setting and management of service delivery standards xe2x80xa2 Lead, motivate, train and develop a team of staff xe2x80xa2 Implement and maintain operational controls in line within budgetary requirements xe2x80xa2 Ensure quality of food preparation, presentation and service is up to standard by meeting all quality star grading standards in all areas of responsibility as per grading checklist Skills and Competencies xe2x80xa2 Excellent food skills required xe2x80xa2 Strong judgement and problem-solving skills xe2x80xa2 Excellent people skills xe2x80xa2 Strong interpersonal and communicative skills (verbal and written) xe2x80xa2 Flexibility with regards to working hours xe2x80xa2 Attention to detail xe2x80xa2 Client service focused xe2x80xa2 Business management principles xe2x80xa2 Fully computer literate xe2x80xa2 2 years experience in kitchen management Qualifications xe2x80xa2 Matric xe2x80xa2 Previous managerial experience in the Industrial or Commercial sector is advantageous xe2x80xa2 Relevant Degree/Diploma or Certificate xe2x80xa2 License
