Job Description

Fedics KZN is currently recruiting for a Catering Manager to be responsible for monitoring the quality of the food and service, ensuring that the site perform well, and overseeing the day-to-day catering operations for a corporate education environment.
Overall responsibility is to manage the unit by setting and maintaining service delivery standards, leading, motivating, and training staff. The role also includes implementing and maintaining operational controls in line with budgetary requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Set and manage service delivery standards across the site.
  • Lead, motivate, train, and develop the catering team. Implement and maintain operational controls within budgetary requirements.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet Tsebo Catering standards and star grading requirements.
  • Comply with all Tsebo Catering Solutions policies and procedures.
  • Manage HR and IR matters, including training, development, and performance management.
  • Handle administration, finances, budgets, debtors, and monthly P&L reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships daily.
  • Organize, prepare, and coordinate all functions and events.
  • Stay updated on food trends and best practices while addressing client needs and resolving complaints proactively.

Qualifications
  • 3-4 years previous experience within a similar environment.
  • A minimum of 3 years management experience in catering.
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) and relevant qualification relating to Hospitality Management
  • Computer literacy MS Excel and MS Word
  • Financial acumen
  • Drivers licence & own vehicle
