Job Summary
Our client has an opportunity available for a Category Specialist from Engineering and Manufacturing based in Bloemfontein.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate.
- Must be from Engineering or Manufacturing or Mining
- Valid driver's license.
- Relevant qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.
- Between 8 to 10 years applicable experience in the mining sector.
- Excellent knowledge of Mining industry practices.
- Fully bilingual and excellent verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans.
- The ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Understanding of company strategies and business needs.
- Industry and Market knowledge.
- Knowledge of relevant mining laws, regulations, and ISO req.
- Set and implement category strategy for Engineering and Mining
- Develop effective solutions and methodologies.
- Provide category and process expertise to create and execute sourcing strategies.
- Lead supplier management for defined categories.
- Resolve any integration issues and gaps.
- Conduct strategic review of procurement, local sourcing operations and opportunities.
- Review all stages of the procurement process.
- Support Supplier Management process.
- Deliver value and cost benefit target Develop Procurement Category Strategies.
- Ensure sustainability benefits are delivered effectively.
