Duties & Responsibilities
Lead cost management initiatives through strategic sourcing to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring compliance with quality standards and business requirements.
Support new sales and drive client value through category expertise.
Deliver preferential procurement targets aligned with BBBEE objectives.
Conduct tender processes and cycle negotiations to secure best net pricing.
Mitigate supply risks including stock outs, quality deviations, and stop supply issues.
Perform purchasing audits and ensure alignment with category strategy.
Maintain and manage supplier agreements and catalogues on Tsebo Source.
Extract and analyze data for reporting, supplier market insights, and profitability evaluations
Skills and Competencies
Strategic sourcing & cost management expertise
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
ERP system proficiency (preferably Tsebo Source or My Market)
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
High ethical standards and business acumen
Strong planning, time management, and decision-making
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Resilience and focus in a fast-paced, complex environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
CIPS certification is advantageous
5-8 years of operational experience in the Catering industry
* Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management is a strong advantage
