We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities: Execution of category sourcing strategiesActive involvement in all new and existing departmental strategic objectives.Responsible for end to end category managementAggressively manage category performance by adhering to savings targets.Actively seek ways to streamline business processes; researches and provide information on industry category trends and best practices.Implementation and identification of departmental continuous improvement processes.Analyze current spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects that align to the overall cost reduction plan.Responsible to ensure Supplier adherence to contractual obligations.Responsible for Supplier performance and management: Safety, Quality, Savings, Reliability, Payment terms, On Time Delivery, Lead times, KPIs, and continuous improvementIn-depth analysis of Strategic and Critical Supplier capacity, planning management processes, risks and constraintsActively drive and manage supplier rationalizationTrack and report on Preferential Procurement, in line with the Companies BBBEE Strategy.Align and manage Supplier Orderbook which includes order confirmations, supplier lead times, MOQxe2x80x99s. date changes, price queries and updates.Verify, validate and process orders.Quarterly reporting on Category performance and strategic deliverables.Manage supplier forecast requirements (based on current stock levels, the critical list, and the production schedule).Evaluate and manage pricing (or PPVs) based on knowledge of material, part size, machining requirement, etc.Managing and updating feedback from slotting room (eg: (i.e. slotting room orders status etc.)Manage, engage and influence key stakeholdersManage a small team of buyers and expeditor, inclusive on development plans and performance reviews.Ensure Imports/Shipping Procedures conform to Customs regulationsAdherence of all SHE and housekeeping requirements.Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all timesJob Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:BCom Strategic Supply Management Degree / BTech LogisticsSupply Chain Management DegreeCIPS will be advantageousMinimum Experience of 7-10 Years in a Procurement and Sourcing environment, ranging from manufactured component parts, managing 2nd tier vendors, insourcing / outsourcing strategiesKnowledge of MRPThe Bill of Materials (BOM) and the impact on order creation.Experience: Apply International procurement experience to requirements within Weir.Intermediate to advance knowledge of Inco TermsExcellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliersStrong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levelsStrong communication, interpersonal and influencing skillsStrong analytical skills and problem solving abilitiesResults orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlinesWeir Minerals is a leading solutions supplier providing smart, efficient and sustainable original equipment and aftermarket services to the global mining and construction aggregates industry.
