Job Summary

Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking a Category 1 Compliance Officer to join their team in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. As a Category 1 Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations within the finance industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced compliance professional to contribute to our client's organisation's ongoing success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements
• Monitor and assess compliance risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
• Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews to identify areas of non-compliance
• Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and communicate changes to relevant teams
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute compliance strategies
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required
• Manage relationships with external regulators and auditors

Requirements

• Legal/Accounting/Financial degree or
• A FSCA (FSB) recognised qualification
• Registered as a FSCA approved Compliance Officer, Category I (Category II if possible)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in compliance or risk management within the financial services industry
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
