Programme Overview -
The
Career Catalyst Programme (CAT Programme)
is a structured 24-month developmental journey designed to shape the next generation of leaders. Guided by The Tenneco Way, the programme bridges the gap between education and employment by providing:
Year 1 (CAT 1 - Technical Foundation):
Focus on business and operations fundamentals with technical exposure, and soft skills development.
Year 2 (CAT 2 - Applied Engineering):
Project-based learning and specialisation in either
Continuous Improvement, Production Engineering, Quality or Maintenance
.
The programme combines
Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)
, mentorship, and coaching with real-world project delivery to accelerate career readiness.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
NQF Level 6 qualification in
Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Academic average of
70% or above
(advantageous)
Proficiency in
MS Office
Knowledge of
Lean tools, problem-solving, and Kaizen principles
Key Attributes Required:
Adaptability and results-driven mindset
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Interpersonal and communication ability
