Job Description
Apex Shark Expeditions, a leading marine eco-tourism operator based in Simon's Town, is expanding its fleet with the addition of a new
42-ft GCat shark cage diving vessel
, certified for38 passengers and 3 crew
.Our existing 35-ft GCat vessel will continue to operate alongside the new vessel, offering premium shark diving experiences in False Bay.
We are now seeking:
An additional qualified Skipper
(Category B endorsement )Requirements for the Skipper:
Valid SAMSA Category B Commercial Skipper's Ticket with passenger endorsement Sound knowledge of local sea conditions, safety procedures, and vessel operations Strong leadership, communication, and guest-handling skills Passion for marine life, conservation, and eco-tourism
