The cashier will responsible for the following: 1. Greet customers as they arrive and thank them as they leave. 2. Take food and drink orders for customers at the counter. 3. Process orders from Uber, MR D, the whatsapp line, telephone calls. 4. Process payments such as cash, cards and digital wallet. 5. Provide customers with receipts and ensure their orders are correct. 6. Answer queries about menu items, specials and prices. 7. Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. 8. Maintain cleanliness of the front of house. 9. Responsible for opening and closing duties and reconciling the daily cash up. 10. Ensuring compliance with restaurant policies and procedures. Requirements: 1. At least 3 years experience as a cashier in a restaurant. 2. Must live within an acceptable distance to the restaurant - no more than 10 to 20 kms away. 3. Must have own transport or be on a good public transport route. The ability to get to the restaurant punctually is not negotiable. 4. We are a 7 day a week business - cashiers will work 5 days a week, including weekend work. Working hours are from 10am to around 9pm. 5. South African citizens preferred - or foreigners with their papers in order, ie. you can work legally in the country. (Foreigners - if you do not have a work permit, pls do not apply). 6. Trustworthy, friendly, approachable, assertive, confident, with strong verbal skills. 7. Able to multi-task, focus, and work in an error free manner.
