Carton Erector Machine Operator
Job Description
A carton erector machine operator sets up, runs, and maintains automated machinery that folds and assembles flat cardboard blanks into sturdy boxes for packaging products.
Key duties include monitoring the machine's performance, performing routine quality checks on the assembled cartons, making minor adjustments and repairs to ensure specifications are met, and loading new supplies of flat-packed boxes.
The role requires attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot minor issues, and an understanding of the machinery's operation and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe production.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation:
Operates a carton erector machine to automatically form and seal flat-packed carton blanks into finished boxes.Setup & Adjustment:
Sets up the machine for different carton sizes or styles and performs adjustments as needed.Quality Control:
Inspects the assembled cartons to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Maintenance:
Monitors the machine for proper functioning, performs routine maintenance, and makes necessary repairs.Supply Management:
Loads and manages the supply of flat carton blanks for continuous operation.Safety:
Adheres to safety procedures and ensures the proper functioning of safety devices to protect the operator and other personnel.Skills & Qualifications
Technical Aptitude:
Ability to operate and adjust mechanical equipment.Problem-Solving:
Skills to identify and resolve minor operational issues.Attention to Detail:
Essential for quality control and accurate adjustments.Physical Stamina:
The role may involve standing for extended periods and lifting moderately heavy items.Communication:
