We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Carpenter/Joiner

to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing a variety of high-quality furniture products, ranging from custom, one-off pieces to large-scale production runs. The ideal candidate will have experience with both traditional woodworking techniques and modern machinery, as well as the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

A key requirement of this role is the ability to accurately prepare and work out quotations for materials, labour, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Build, assemble, and finish furniture pieces based on design plans and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines safely and effectively. Inspect and ensure each piece meets quality standards before final assembly. Keep the workspace clean, organised, and safe at all times. Prepare accurate material and labour quotations when required.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a carpenter, joiner, or cabinet maker in a furniture production environment. Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and furniture construction. Confident operating machinery such as saws, planers, sanders, and other woodworking equipment. High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality craftsmanship
The Salary is negotiable depending on experience and the ability to assist with quotations

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R35,00 - R70,00 per hour
