Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and versatile caretaker who will be responsible for the maintenance and overall well-being of our block of apartments and various rooms. The ideal candidate should possess a combination of maintenance skills and excellent interpersonal abilities as well as the ability to assist in the collection of rental payments.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine light maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, painting, and general repairs. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues promptly. Assist in the collection of rental payments, lease renewals, and communication with residents regarding their accounts - together as directed from head office. Maintain a clean and well-organised property, including common areas and outdoor spaces. Respond to resident inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Coordinate and oversee any maintenance tasks. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities communications. Report any safety hazards or security concerns to management. Adhere to property rules and regulations and ensure residents do the same. Co-ordination of cleaning and security staff Ability to work flexible hours

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in property maintenance and repair work. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of property management software (preferred). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.

Pay: From R7500,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

Elsiesrivier, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

You are required to be on the property 8-5pm. Would that be a problem? You are required to be routinely available to assist after hours with ad-hoc issues at the property. Would that be a problem?
