Job Description
Silver Oak Elite Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality care services for our elderly clients. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a strong background in health and social care, ideally a Registered Nurse (SANC), with a passion for leading care teams and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of care services provided to clients.
- Conduct care assessments and develop individualised care plans.
- Supervise, support, and manage a team of caregivers and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and policies.
- Liaise with families, medical professionals, and external agencies.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and implement improvements where needed.
- Manage scheduling, documentation, audits, and reporting.
- Respond to emergencies and client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care.
- Diploma/Degree in Nursing, Social Work, or related health field.
- SANC registration (preferred but not mandatory).
- Minimum 23 years experience in a leadership role within a care or nursing environment.
- Strong understanding of elderly care and home care best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Valid South African drivers license and access to own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
- Police clearance required or willingness to obtain.
