Job Purpose:




This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in relevant software and potentially a good understanding of the car rental industry.

Minimum Requirements:



Matric Certificate:

A high school diploma or equivalent is a fundamental requirement.

Driver's License: A

valid driver's license is essential, often with a minimum number of years of driving experience.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in car rental administration, or related fields (like automotive services or rental management) is often preferred or required.

Supervisory Experience:

For higher-level roles, experience in a supervisory or management position within the car rental industry is often necessary. No criminal record

Key Responsibilities:



Operational Management:



Overseeing daily rental operations, including reservations, co-ordination of vehicle collections and returns. Managing vehicle inventory and ensuring vehicles are available for rental. Managing and maintaining rental agreements and contracts. Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Handling customer inquiries and complaints. Assisting with the processing of rental paperwork and payments.


Administrative Tasks:



Managing and maintaining accurate records and databases. Preparing reports on rental activity and performance. Managing and controlling expenses. Developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures.


Other Duties:



E

nsuring customer satisfaction and a positive rental experience. Identifying and resolving operational issues. Contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the rental operation.

Leadership and Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking and time management. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff. Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively. Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve operational issues. Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of the car rental industry and its processes (desirable). Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting and expense management (desirable). Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.


Qualifications:

elevant tertiary qualification (e.g. diploma or degree) in business administration, management, or a related field (desirable) Previous experience in a senior administrative or supervisory role, particularly within the car rental industry (desirable)
